France – Landes – Ondres – Part 1 (En)
Last Wednesday we arrived at Ondres beach. Ondres is a town in the Landes with 3000 inhabitants. We stayed in a motorhome area with electricity and water just 100 metres from the beach. Ondres beach is a beautiful wild beach, with bars, restaurants and shops, bordered by the dune with the silhouette of the Pyrenees Mountains in the background. The restaurants have the typical Basque Country tapas and food and the majority of the people in the motorhome area are Spanish.
It is a surfer beach so there are big waves and red flags, so you have to swim just in the area where the lifeguards are. there is also a nudist beach where dogs are allowed. We went swimming at the beach, and the water was amazingly nice! Our first swim on a beach this summer!
In the evening we went to the bar-restaurant to have dinner where the sangria is really good. We shared a bowl of mussels, typical of this area, and I had Hake in a garlic sauce with rice and veggies (really yummy) and Ben had an Entrecote steak with chips.
Yesterday Thursday we went on the motorbike to buy drinks and after that, we went to the beach to play with Asha and we discovered a beach bar with reggae music really cool, which is open from 6 pm to 1 am and we had sangria and a beer there!
And today Friday we are going to see a pop rock band in one of the beach bars.

Glad you’re having a good time Bro!!
