Greece – Peloponnese – Kalogria Beach (En)

Kalogria Beach is the name of a sandy and award-winning Blue Flag beach that is located in the vicinity of the village Araxos, in Northwestern Peloponnese, Greece. The beach is beside the Kotychi and Strofylia National Park, it has a length of 9 Km and a width of 80m and is one of the longest sandy beaches of Greece.

We stayed in the paid motorhome area (38.159901, 21.3715), which has the only mini market in the place. The staff is very nice and they speak really good English. The plots are big with awnings for shade. The facilities are rustic and made of wood but pretty good. It has two outside showers, toilets with paper and seats, an area for washing the dishes, drinkable water and a good area for emptying and filling the grey and black waters. It is a 3-minute walk to the beach. 15 euros without electricity or 20 with electricity per day.

We went to the beach where you have to cross a very cute bridge with a tavern next to it. The beach has dunes and fine sand. Feature Kalogria beach is the blue and shallow waters, with underwater sources Taygetos water to always maintain clean. On the right part of the beach, there are deckchairs that belong to the Mango Hotel and you can use the last two rows free, and that is what we did. On the Kalogria beach, there are bars, restaurants, water sports and canoeing.

The next day we went to Patras, Greece’s third-largest city and the regional capital of Western Greece. Our last place in the Peloponnese, which you can see in the next post!
