Our review
A free stop in the car park of the Ktima taverna, a 5 to 10-minute walk from Filiatra. We had a great time dancing and eating – there was so much food we had enough for two days. The taverna only opens in the evening, from 6pm, and has live music at weekends; the food is very good and inexpensive. We recommend stopping at least once.
The car park is among olive trees, so getting in is really difficult and it isn't suitable for motorhomes over 7.5 metres – bigger ones will struggle. We were lucky nobody else was there; it's best to reverse into a space, and we parked carefully in the middle. There are really no services: when the taverna opens you can use its toilets, ask for water and use its bins.
The small town has shops, nice churches, bars and restaurants – and a little Eiffel Tower at its entrance – and the locals are really nice.

Reverse into a space – the olive trees make it tight.

- The pitches are under olive trees, so getting in is really difficult – it's better to reverse in. We parked carefully in the middle. Bigger motorhomes will have problems.
