Our review
A free site next to the bullring, the sports facilities and a park, a 15-minute walk from the centre of Astorga – a beautiful town with the amazing Gaudí palace and the cathedral. You can walk in through the park or through the town.
It's easy to get into, and to fill and empty: there's a point for grey and black water, drinking water and bins, though no electricity, and the tap for rinsing the chemical toilet didn't work. You park wherever you like; most pitches are level, but some need ramps, and there's room to put your chairs out if you have the space.
We slept well and it felt safe. The only other downside is the medical helicopters that take off next door, which are quite noisy. If the site is full, you can park next to it.
