Our review
We first went to the town's motorhome area, but it was too narrow for us to manoeuvre and park – no good for long motorhomes (6 metres maximum). So we came to the Lidl motorhome parking instead, opposite Burger King and next to the supermarket, which was safe and good for sleeping. We stayed two nights, with another campervan.
There are only two spaces. They're very large and easy to get into, though both slope a little. There are no facilities, but you can use the toilets in Lidl and Burger King, and there are rubbish bins. Other motorhomes park around the Lidl car park during the day but don't stay the night. If you're travelling with dogs, there's a dog park nearby.
It's a 10-minute walk to the little train square, the seafront promenade with its restaurants, and the beach, and you can walk on to the town centre. We'd recommend it for visiting the town.
Top tips
If you're longer than 6 metres, skip the town's own motorhome area – it's too narrow.
