Our review
A great site for the price, with really good vibes. When we arrived on a Sunday it was full; the attendant told us to park on the next street and he'd let us know when a space came up. We couldn't get in that day, so we slept on the street – quite well – and on Monday morning he came to tell us we could come in.
It has everything you need: places to empty grey and black water at the entrance, drinking water next to the pitches in several places, toilets with seats and paper, decent showers, a washing machine, a dryer and a dishwashing area. The water is only warm if a lot of people are using it at the same time, so shower when nobody else is around. There's a small lounge with a microwave, fridge and books, and the Wi-Fi is free and excellent, although some websites don't work with it.
A bread van comes round at about 8.30am, except on Sundays, and there's a butane truck if you need gas. On Fridays a woman cooks paella – 8 euros for a plate with a glass of sangria. The beach, the promenade, bars, restaurants and a supermarket are a 10-minute walk away, and Gandia centre is 5 minutes by motorbike or 15 by bike. We'd recommend it.
