Our review
Kykao is a craft microbrewery in a small village just outside Patras, and you can stay for free – good for a stop after the ferry. We came for the Friday party, with music, food and drinks; if you want to sleep, don't come on a Friday, as the music went on until 4am.
There's room for up to four motorhomes, parked on the right just past the brewery – there's a kerb, so the spaces aren't level. We were two. On Friday nights cars park all around as well. There are tables and chairs outside, and they'll give you drinking water and electricity if you ask (the electricity is free – we didn't need it). There's a sink for washing up, bins, Wi-Fi, and the brewery's toilet, with a cold shower, when it's open. Dogs are welcome inside and out.
The brewery opens Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4pm, and on Friday evenings too; it's closed at weekends, so leave by 9am on Saturday. Shops and restaurants are down the road, about 1 km away. Come to try the beers, and for the Friday night party, with free pizza with your drinks.
Top tips
Come on a Friday for the party and the free pizza – but not if you want to sleep.
