Our review
A great, free place for visiting this amazing town – the town hall and the abbey are a 6-minute walk away, and the old town about 10. You need to be self-sufficient, as there are no services apart from bins at the entrance.
The area has gravel sections either side of the entrance and a dirt-and-grass area at the back. The pitches aren't marked, so just park next to the other motorhomes; we preferred the gravel. You'll need ramps in many places. It's very popular because it's free, and it fills up in the evenings – the grass too – so arrive early in the morning.
The harbour is 15 minutes' walk away, and there are shops and restaurants within 500 metres.
