Our review
A good place to spend a day visiting Canterbury, a wonderful city, or to stop before the ferry to France. It's the Park & Ride on the edge of the city, with a motorhome area next to a pub with a beer garden, and it costs £8 a day.
Drive up to the barrier and press the button: the ticket it gives you is your pass for the free bus into the city centre. Pay at the machine by the bus stop about 15 minutes before you leave – the barrier reads your number plate on the way out. The point for emptying and refilling water is at the end of the area, with the bins; only one tap is drinking water – the hose isn't. If your motorhome is long, park at the beginning or the end of the area so that others can get out.
Top tips
Keep the barrier ticket – it's your free bus pass into the city.
