Our review
This municipal campsite sits on the riverbank, a five-minute walk from the centre of La Flèche – a charming town that's well worth exploring, with beautiful buildings and river views. La Flèche Zoo is close by too, which makes it a good base for families.
The pitches are spacious and easy to manoeuvre on. There are several facility blocks around the site, all clean: the toilets have seats and paper, and the showers are hot, although the water pressure could be better. There's a dishwashing area with hot water and another for washing clothes by hand, but no washing machine or dryer, and there are several motorhome service points.
For entertainment there's a swimming pool, a tennis court, ping-pong, pétanque and a playground. The Wi-Fi is good, but you have to log in again every hour.
With the ACSI card it cost us 18 euros a night, electricity included. We arrived while reception was closed, so we parked up and then went to reception to pay for the nights we wanted. We would definitely return.
Good to know
There's no washing machine or dryer – only an area for washing clothes by hand.
