Our review
One of the best campsites we've stayed at. It's a campervan area right by Lake Bilancino, and 15 euros a day really is all-inclusive: electricity, hot showers with very good pressure, and even a free washing machine. It's very spacious and in a beautiful spot, easy to reach from the motorway, and the staff are very friendly and speak good English. We planned to stay two days and stayed four.
There are two areas for filling and emptying grey and black water and the chemical toilet – one opposite the entrance, the other at the back – both easy to reach, with drinking water around the facilities. The toilets have seats and paper, and there's a dishwashing area with hot water, a barbecue and seating area with table football, and walking and cycling paths. The only drawback: if several people shower at once, the water runs cold, so shower when nobody else is.
A gate leads straight to the lake – a minute's walk to a bridge with amazing views and paths around the lake with picnic tables. The beautiful old town is about 15 minutes' walk away, with a market on Saturday mornings. The staff give you a code for the gate. We highly recommend it.
