Our review
Really good value, and a good base for visiting different towns and places. The area has everything you need: a double point for emptying grey and black water and filling the tank, where the chemical toilet point is too; very clean toilets with seats, paper and soap; unisex showers with hot water and good pressure (1 euro for 5 minutes); and a dishwashing area with hot water. They were building a laundry when we were there, and they sell gas – we swapped our two empty butane bottles for full ones.
The price surprised us: staying more than a week, it was 12.66 euros a day without electricity (12 euros plus tourist tax). For less than a week it's 14 euros, and electricity is 4 euros a day – you can switch it on just for the days you want it. Our pitch was close to reception and the facilities, and the free Wi-Fi was really good there.
A Lidl, a launderette, a chemist and bars and restaurants are about 10 to 15 minutes' walk away. You can walk to Empuriabrava town centre, full of canals – they call it the Spanish Venice – and cycle or ride to Roses and the old town of Empúries. Go-karting and skydiving are right next to the area.
