England – Tewkesbury Medieval Festival (En)
We went with Mathew, Ben’s brother, and the dogs, Asha and Humphry to the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival. The main feature of the festival is the reenactment of the Battle of Tewkesbury, which was fought in 1471. Located on parts of the ground where the original battle was fought, the festival also features a medieval camp, in which traders ply their wares and visitors are entertained by musicians and acrobats. This festival is considered one of the ten most bizarre festivals in the country.
We parked on a massive ground next to the Abby which is beautiful!
We couldn’t see the battle because there were so many people that we couldn’t pass through, so we decided to go to the town to a pub and have something to eat and drink. We finished in a really cool pub with live music and Ben and I ate scampi with chips and salad.
Now it is all parties and farewells as we are taking the ferry to Holland next Sunday!
