Bye England – Hi Holland (En)
Last Saturday we said goodbye to Janet (Ben’s mum) and John and we went to Harwich where we will take the ferry to Holland. On the way, we stopped in a pub called The Bull just outside of London to meet our friend Erica to catch up, have lunch and see our motorhome. Ben and I had our last pie for lunch.
We arrived at Harwich harbour and they told us that we must be in the queue to go inside to the ferry at 7 am Sunday. Before 7 am we were in the queue and already were cars, caravans and motorhomes in front of us. Behind us was a cool hippie motorhome with a golden retriever in the driver seat! Take a look at the pics.
We took a cabin so Asha could be with us. If we didn’t take the cabin Asha has to be in a kennel and the cabin was not expensive just around 30 euros. The ferry is massive with bars, restaurants, cinema and tv lounge, seats outside with smoking areas etc. Something peculiar is that the truckers have their own bar and restaurant where the rest of the people can’t go in. Dogs only could be in the cabin and go out to an area to do their necessities. The cabin was very good, with a big window with amazing views. We left England at 9 am and arrived in Holland at 5.30 pm. There was all kind of ships doing the same travel as us to Hook of Holland, a harbour 30 minutes from Rotterdam.
From Hook of Holland harbour, we went to a city called Dordrecht where our friends Mariana and Cor live. We parked in public parking near to their house and Cor waiting for us there. Then we went to their house to have a barbecue. The house is in a beautiful area with water channels.
The next day we went on a ferry on the motorbike to see the windmills of Kinderdijk and the old town of Dordrecht, really an adventure that you can see in the next post.

We loved having you here with us.
Looking forward to your pics from the Mills in Kinderdijk.
Pics are already on, thank you for all, you are the best. Hope to see you soon in Spain. XXXX
