Vinyols i els Arc private parking

A really good site for the price – a very spacious, enclosed private area with everything you need, next to Samà Park. Yolanda and her husband run it and are wonderful: they help with everything they can, and they can call a mechanic if you need one. We stayed seven days and made friends, some of them spending the whole winter there.

Fifteen euros a day includes electricity. There's a hose for filling the tank near the entrance (you can't fill from the drinking water taps between the pitches) and a drain for emptying by the entrance too. There are two unisex bathrooms with showers – hot, with decent pressure – and the chemical toilet point is outside them. The dishwashing sink only has cold water, which was the only downside. A washing machine and dryer cost 3 euros each; you tell the owners and pay when you leave.

Some pitches are under a porch and more level; the bigger ones face the grass, with more sun but more exposed to the wind. We had two days of terrible wind and moved under the porch, against the wall, for shelter. There's a chill-out area with sofas, tables and chairs, a big grassy area for children to play, and free Wi-Fi that works quite well, though it's slower at night and in the wind. You can walk to Samà Park and the village, or cycle or take the bus to Cambrils.
