Our review
A very nice free place for a night or two, in a sandy car park by the port and the beach, with beautiful views of the beach, the fishing boats and the tavernas. The local people are very friendly, and there are lots of tavernas with nice food. They told us you can park and sleep here until July, when the summer season starts – so don't come in August.
There are no services apart from bins, and cold showers on the beach. Park on the right-hand side, under the trees, facing the boats, as the fishermen park on the other side; it's a car park, so don't put out tables and chairs. The spaces slope a little, but we didn't need ramps. When we arrived there were several other motorhomes and campervans.
You can buy fish straight from the fishermen, and there are two small supermarkets. You can take a boat trip to see the wildlife, including turtles. There are street dogs around – very friendly, but take care if your dog doesn't get on with other dogs. It's worth spending at least a day enjoying the beach.
