Holland – Zeeland – Cadzand (En)
We arrived at Cadzand to the minicamping De Putter. We did not book so when we arrived the owner told us that we could stay only one night. Later on, she came and told us that we could stay the next day also in a different plot, so we move to the other plot. The thing is today is our last day and there are many plots free but we have done our plans already and tomorrow Friday we are going to Bruges, in Belgium where we will meet with my friends Javi and Marta who live in Brussels. So we are leaving tomorrow!
The camping is good and the owner is a very nice woman but a little disorganized. The facilities are clean and modern, the showers are really good but you have to pay 50 cents for the hot water and there is no toilet paper. There are chickens for all over the place and the owner has pigeons, she let the pigeons out in the evening and they fly around the camping in a massive group. There is a book of the animals staying at the camping, the majority dogs, and we have given to the owner several pictures of Asha so she can put them in the book, as she asked us for them. The location is great, 2 minutes from the village and 15 minutes walking to the beach.
On our first day in the evening, we went to the beach. 15 minutes walking in the bike lane. All Holland is prepared for bicycles but not for people walking as we were near to crash several times because they do not have bells or they do not bother to ring the bells. The beach was full of people and some of them swimming, and it was only 20 degrees, windy and I was cold! There are beach bars on the beach and we had a drink in one of them.
This evening on our last day here we went to see the village. It is very small with only 790 inhabitants, a windmill, a nice church, a chocolate factory and a bar in front of the windmill. And that is all!
And like that, we say bye to Holland, a beautiful country, really flat with the best roads we have seen and water in every town. Bye Holland, hi Belgium!
