Lake District – Pooley Bridge (En)

The Lake District is famous for its lakes, forests and mountains, and its associations with William Wordsworth and other Lake poets. The Lake District National Park was established in 1951 and covers an area of 2,362 square kilometres.

We stayed at the Waterside House Campsite next to the lake with amazing views. The facilities are good but too far from the plots and they only have some spots with electricity and all of them were booked until September! So if you want to go here book in advance. We have to stay without electricity. There is a bar-pizzeria really cute and water sports activities just in the camping.

So we recommend the place because its location is great and the views and place stunning!

The nearest town is Pooley Bridge, just 15 minutes walking along the lake. The town is really small but beautiful, with a lot of pubs and restaurants next to the lake, a church and two shops. We went to see it and have a drink in one of the pubs on the lake and Asha a swim at the lake.

And the next day we went to Scotland!
