Spain – Madrid – Camping Madrid Arco Iris (En)
We decided to go camping outside Madrid, in Villaviciosa de Odón, to clean the motorhome, wash clothes, etc. We stayed in camping Madrid Arco Iris (40.3811, -3.90727 lat, long) for 25 euros per day all included. The camping has a swimming pool but it was closed, a children’s area, bar-restaurant with a ping pong table. The toilets were pretty big and clean, the only thing is that the showers and taps work with a sensor so it is really a pain, but it was one toilet without sensors and that is the one everybody was using. The taps for washing dishes have hot water. The area for filling and emptying water is big and easy to use. Dogs are welcome and free.
In the evening, our friend Fina came to visit and brought me a book. We had a ping pong match, at least we tried!
And later at night my friend Elvira who also lives in Madris came to visit and saw our motorhome for the first time. She really liked it. We have some drinks and catch up. It was great to see her after many years. When we come back to Spain we will stay in Madrid for more time and see the city and our friends properly.
And the next day we went to Segovia, a historical city northwest of Madrid in the region of Castilla y León centre of Spain.
