Our review

We stayed at a private motorhome area called Ferme Aquacole Les Poissons d'Argent, which offers a fishing package for 12 euros: fishing gear, emptying and drinking water, without electricity. That's the one we chose; with electricity it's 17 euros a day. The area is surrounded by fishing lakes and full of birds. There's a restaurant where you can order bread and pastries the day before, a bar with pool tables (not yet open when we were there), and oysters sold straight from the producer.

You pay for the fish you catch – we don't fish, so we don't know how much each one costs, but one family caught five! You need a bike or a motorbike to get to the medieval town, which is impressive. The area is huge, so there's plenty of room. Be careful when it's hot: there are a lot of mosquitoes.

Good to know

Mosquitoes in hot weather. Order bread and pastries at the restaurant the day before.
