Campsite il Pozzo

The first campsite where we could use all the facilities – and they're excellent. Good value and a great location: you can walk to the old town, the beach and the cycle path along the seafront. There's a relaxing area with a drinks machine (coffee for 80 cents), and the very friendly manager lets you hang out your washing.

Near the toilets there's a dishwashing area with hot water; the toilets have seats and paper. Some bathrooms have showers – 1 euro for 5 minutes, with good pressure and hot water – and there's a washing machine for 3 euros. Every pitch has electricity, and the Wi-Fi is included and excellent – the first good campsite Wi-Fi we've had. The point for emptying water and the chemical toilet is opposite the entrance, on a slope, so empty as you come in; the hose for filling, with drinking water, is to the left of the entrance.

It's really busy, so call ahead. We booked, but nobody was there when we arrived, and we waited until 4pm with lots of other people wanting a pitch; the manager found us one, as we'd booked first. You can also stay in the car park outside, with electricity, and use the facilities inside. We loved it, made friends, and highly recommend it for visiting this beautiful town.
