Our review
Camping Tirana is on the lake, with amazing views. The problem is the road in: an uphill dirt track where only one vehicle can pass – we followed a French motorhome bigger than ours, and we made it. The campsite has two areas: a field below, and the top, where the facilities and electricity are and where we parked.
The owner told us we could only stay on top that day, because a big group had booked the top area for the next day, so we would have to move down to the field. Rain was forecast for that night and the whole week from 10am the next day, and there was no way we were staying in a muddy field and taking that road full of mud – so we told the owner we'd leave very early, before the rain, so as not to get stuck. Also, the price was supposed to be 12 euros a day, and the owner told us we had to pay 16.
Finding it
An uphill dirt track, wide enough for one vehicle only.
Good to know
Avoid the track in the rain. The lower area is a field; the facilities and electricity are on top.
