Our review

We stayed at the municipal campsite Fuentes Blancas, on the edge of the city among parks – about a 40-minute walk to the cathedral along the river, a very nice walk and all flat. It costs 23 euros with the ACSI card. It has large, shaded pitches and old but clean facilities, with paper in the toilets and showers with pressure and hot water, and it's easy to fill and empty water. There's a swimming pool, but it closes on 15 September.

It also has an excellent restaurant, with tapas for 2 euros, which we recommend trying, and a 13-euro set menu every day; at weekends the restaurant fills up. We even found a motorhome just like ours!

Top tips

Try the restaurant's 2-euro tapas.
