Our review
A beautiful motorhome area surrounded by trees and parks, with spacious pitches where you can put your table and chairs out – we stayed three nights. You can sometimes hear the train, but not at night.
Take care on the road to the area: if another vehicle is coming, you have to give way. The area goes round in a circle, and the pitches are hardstanding with grass at the sides; some have shade at midday, and we took one of those – we needed ramps. The bins are just before the entrance and the service point just to the right of it, and the services all work well. The Wi-Fi worked on our computer, but not on one of our phones. It cost us 14.10 euros.
Next to the area there are lots of parks and a river, with many paths to walk. The little town is 5 minutes away, with shops, a beautiful church and an exhibition to see, and from there a bus goes to the centre of Poitiers.
Top tips
Take a pitch with shade at midday – some have it.
Good to know
You can sometimes hear the train, but not at night. Give way to oncoming vehicles on the road in.
