Camping-Car Riva-Bella

We stayed at the Riva-Bella camping-car area in the village, right outside the ferry. It costs 13.50 euros a day, paid by card at the entrance, where you get a QR code for the water and electricity. The pitches are spacious, with tables and benches, and there's emptying of grey and black water, electricity and drinking water. Next door are a playground and a skate park, and the beach is a five-minute walk away; there are toilets next to the site that you can use.

A 10-minute walk to the right takes you to the museums, the promenade and the shops and bars; to the left are the seafood market, the church, the cinema and the town hall. We arrived at 10pm off the ferry and it was full – you can sleep in a car park outside, where you don't pay until 8am. The next morning there was room and we moved in. Recommended when you're going to or from the ferry, and for visiting this charming town.
