Our review

A very clean, safe Camping-Car Park area right by Lake Kir, between the banks of the Ouche and the Parc de la Colombière, with beautiful views and walks around the lake – toilets are 2 minutes away. It's very good value, the facilities work, and it's easy to get into. We recommend it for visiting this wonderful city.

Like all Camping-Car Parks, you buy a lifetime card once (5 euros) and top it up to pay for your stay; it's 13.88 euros a day, with grey and black water disposal, electricity, drinking water and bins all included. Book ahead, as it can be busy if you arrive in the evening. The pitches on the right get shade in the evening and those on the left in the morning; the central ones have none.

You can walk or cycle all the way round the lake, which has picnic areas, toilets and a swimming area with a bar-restaurant. For the old town, take bus B12, from a stop 5 minutes away – it drops you at the park and the gate into the old town. The free Wi-Fi isn't good; use your own.
