Spain – Asturias – Tapia de Casariego (En)

We stayed in the motorhome area of the town, 4 euros per day and you can fill and empty water and the WC. The area is in front of the beach and within walking distance of the town centre and harbour. In the morning, Jose and Chelo, the parents of our friend Javi, staying in their motorhome in the same area, came to say hi and meet us. Javi looks totally the same as his father!

We decided to go to see the town and Jose and Chelo went swimming at the beach. Tapia de Casariego is now a tourist place with surf schools, known for its fishing harbour, its lighthouse, a seawater pool, its traditional restaurants and beaches. There is a path next to the beach going to the town harbour with amazing views. We went first to the town and saw the church, and town hall until we arrive at the harbour.

The harbour is full of restaurants and bars, and the tapas are free with the drinks. We had a drink in one of the cute bars with two free tapas of cheese and chorizo. Then we went following the path on the beach and saw the seawater pool and amazing views of the town, lighthouse and beach.

We decided to eat in a restaurant in the town as it was near 3 pm. We shared patatas bravas with two salsas and garlic ribs. All very nice and very economical and a lot of food! After lunch, we went to the beach in front of our area, as there is a beautiful beach cove.

When we got back to our motorhome we went to see Jose and Chelo and they told us if we wanted to go to see a eucalyptus tree very cool nearby. We said ok, but they trick us, as the eucalyptus tree was not nearby, we walked near 5 kilometres and I was wearing my flip-flops! When I told them that they trick us, they say yes, so you would come, hahaha. We had a nice walk and a very good time saw the tree and an old chapel and came back via the beach and saw the sundown.

The next morning we said bye to Jose and Chelo, they are lovely and we hope to see them again! And we went to Galicia, to a town called Ribadeo.
