France – Ondres – Anglet – Part 2 (En)

The next day we went to the beach with Asha so she can play with her ball, but on the way, two dogs took her ball so in the end, we have to play with a stick. In the evening we went to see a French band playing English pop-rock songs and the sunset. It was pretty funny because their song versions were very different to the original songs. Asha had a really good time as she did a friend with an English boy who played with her all night.

On Sunday for Ben’s birthday we went to another beach in Anglet, a town just before Biarritz renowned for its 11 Atlantic surfing beaches with a seafront promenade dotted with restaurants and surfing schools and backed by pine forest around a wildlife park. We went to stay in an area for motorhomes next to the beach but when we arrived the barrier wouldn’t open and the motorhomes couldn’t go out. We have to wait for an hour until somebody open the barrier and they did not let the barrier go down so the 10 or more motorhomes can go out. A big mess!

When finally we could go in and settle down, we had a coffee and Ben opened his birthday presents, which he liked a lot!

Then we went to the beach and to have lunch in a beach bar where we met some people from Pamplona really nice and we had some drinks and chat with them. The beach bar has only burgers and things like that, so we shared chicken skewers with chips.

In the evening we went to the promenade that was full of bars, restaurants and surf shops to properly celebrate Ben’s birthday. In one of the surf shops, the owner insisted in take us a picture. We had dinner in a seafront restaurant and we shared tapas of mussels, razor clams, grilled squid, serrano ham and King prawns! All really yummy!

The next day Monday we crossed to Spain, to Basque Country and we went to see Zarauts first and then to Galdona camping in a town called Mutriku where we are now. All this is in the following post!
