Greece – Peloponnese – Palouki Beach (En)

Palouki Beach is located in the Western Peloponnese, 66.5 Km from Patra. It is a beach with several wide bays, turquoise sea and light-colour sand. The entry into the water is very smooth and the beach is ideal for of kinds of people, solo travellers, lovers scaping to relax, etc. A great plus is that in high season there are almost no people.

We stayed at Camping Palouki (37.753946, 21.306293 lat, long) right on the beach. The facilities are modern and clean, with a kitchen with fridges and freezers. Good area for emptying and filling grey and black waters. It has a very cute tavern with sunbeds and sun umbrellas on the beach. The plots are big and with shade. The only downside is that it is pretty expensive, we paid 25 euros without electricity per day and if you parked near the beach you are pretty far away from the facilities.

We went walking through the beach to see the little harbour passing several beach restaurants. On the harbour, we find out that Palouki Coast is located in the Bay of Helonitis and the beach has 2.420 meters long and 20 meters wide.

Next thing we decided to free camping so we went to Kastro-Kyllini, located in the Ionian Sea, to a beach that the locals called the “Golden Beach” because of its golden sands and sunsets. Which you can see in the next post!
