England – Cotswolds – Bibury (En)

Bibury is considered one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds. It is a beautiful village in the purest English style. The grey Cotswold stone buildings and the shallow River Coln running through the middle make Bibury one of the most postcard-perfect towns.

What to see

It is a tiny town, so you can see it in one morning. You can park wherever you can on the streets; it is free. We parked, and the first thing we came across was the Coln River, which divides the town with some beautiful stone bridges and some very cute restaurants.

We then went to see Arlington Row, a street of traditional Cotswold stone cottages built in the 14th century as wool shops and later converted into weavers’ cottages in the 17th century.

We ended our visit in the part of the town where the people live, passing through the community centre and visiting St. Mary’s Church, which we were able to see inside.

Our next stop is Burford, popular for its beauty and its history, which you can see in the next blog!
