Midlands – Welford-on-Avon (En)

Last Sunday we went to the Midlands, to visit Sara, Ben’s friend from when they were children. She lives on a very cool sheep farm and we spent the day there with her and her family. Asha has a great time playing with Betsy and Jenson, Sara’s dogs.

On Monday we went to Welford-on-Avon where Ben’s mum lives. It is a very small town with 3 pubs, one church and one shop. The town is beautiful with “thatched roof homes” which I love! And houses with plants and flowers hanging on the walls. The town is next to the river and when we were walking next to it Asha fall inside the river and finished all wet and green! It is the 70 years queen jubilee so all the towns and houses are decorated with the English flags.

We are staying in Ben’s mum’s house which is beautiful. The house is inside private urbanization with all the houses in the same style. Ben’s mum’s house is in front of the river, so from the terrace, the views are amazing, as the river forms an island with swans, ducks and gooses. There is a really cool pub next to the house and also next to the river and you can see boats passing through the river and next to the house. The house has big glass windows all over the place, including on the roof, so the views from inside are amazing also.

Ben’s mum has a puppy called Isabella, only 5 months and she is making Asha crazy, biting her tail, and wanting to play all the time, but she is so cute!

And today Wednesday we are going to Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare town and on Thursday to Oxford. And all that in the next post!
