South Hampton – Marina (En)
On Saturday we went to South Hampton marina to see Ben’s brother Dominic and his partner, Lisa. They have a sailing boat in the marina. We parked the motorhome inside and we could pass the night there. After Dominic came to see the motorhome, which he liked a lot, we went to see his boat, which is pretty cool, with a cabin inside and a sitting room. Asha was really scared and she will not come all the way to the boat, so we had to take her back to the motorhome.
Then we went to see the marina that is beautiful, with the houses next to the water and its boats parked outside. The houses are really cool. there is also a train, the only one like this, that takes the people on the top of the water to the other side of the harbour. I liked this marina more than the Brighton marina.
After seeing the marina we went to the pub to eat. For starters, we shared small fried fish like the boquerones (anchovies) in Spain, but they taste like sardines. For the main course, Ben had fish and chips, Dominic a steak, Lisa samosas and I had linguini with crab, prawns and mussels in a white wine sauce, yummy!
And we finished the day going to the little town next to the marina to a pub to see the final of the Champions League where many people preferred Real Madrid to win more than Liverpool. They told me the people in the South do not want the people in the North to win. By the way, Real Madrid won. After the game it was a rock band, so we sing and dance. There was a long time ago that we were in a bar with so many people and music and dancing. And after all that, we went back to the motorhome to keep drinking. We finished really late!
And the next day Sunday, we went to the Midlands, to Welford-on-Avon where Ben’s mum lives. A beautiful place that you can see in the next post.
